The iron Giant october 1st, Kids film club


Directed by Brad Bird and based on the 1968 Novel by Ted Hughes, the film tells the story of a lonely boy named Hogarth who discovers a giant iron man who fell from space. Hogarth, with the help of a beatnik named Dean, has to stop the U.S. military and a federal agent from finding and destroying the Giant. The film was awarded a BAFTA in 2000 for the best children’s film of the year.

Kid's Film Club screenings take place on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month. At the Orford House Social Club, 73 Orford Rd, E17 9QR.

Pirate and under the sea workshops

Here are some photos from this Summer's playscheme at Church Hill nursery July 2011.
First set of photos, are from the Pirates workshop, where swords, boats and pirate hats were made for role play. arghah my hearties!







Second set are from , 'Under the sea', exploring the strange under water world of deep sea fish. Bioluminescence with jelly fish and other deep sea fish. We also sailed in the Yellow submarine, with The Beatles on board!
