I’d like to share a project I’ve been following for the past few weeks. Called Walk with Amal.

She’s a giant walking puppet, a nine year old refugee. She has travelled from Turkey, she has walked her way via europe and will be ending her journey in Manchester on her quest to be reunited with her mother. She lands in England this month and will be in London October 23rd to 25th. There are events of artistic merriment and merit to welcome litlte Amal , with food, dance, prayer and song at different venues . It’ll be a wonderful spectacle for families and children to see and welcome this amazing puppet and in our city. see here for events: https://www.walkwithamal.org/events/

Last chance to see this amazing exhibition of photography of 1960’s Ghana and London by James Barnor. Finishes 24th October 2021. I thought I’d share a moment I had with mr Barnor himself at the Serpentine gallery earlier this year.
