Scribble and Smudge are sadly not taking part this year’s E17 art trail. I hear it’s the last to be curated, by Laura and Morag, since its inception 20 years ago.
I would like to applaud their DAMN hard work, curiosity, imagination and sheer determination to make this cultural event in our borough so seminal. I cant list the many ways, but for one without the art trail Scribble and Smudge would not have been able to stretch their wings. Starting with Slet for Hepworth in 2009, Sokol exercises at Waltham forest Town Hall with fellow artist Caroline Jupp, then Communi’Tea’ in 2010 at The Vestry House Museum a tea party and dance, a cine craft with the Stow Film Lounge in 2011, to Lega’say’ an animation about 2012 Olympics and our community, Grandads Island as part of Walthamstow Garden Party in 2019, letter writing and creating on typewriters. back again in 2021 for the Creepy Crawly Show at The Vestry House Museum, an inception by fellow artist Vanessa. Scribble and Smudge would like to whole heartedly thank Laura and Morag for making our creativity fly. I wanna cry.
Without much ado, go and see the last week of the E17 Art trail 2024 , Ive found these family workshops on the E17 Art trail 2024 guide. Apologies if there were more.
