We made a winter tree turn into spring at this month's Creative kids session. We potatoe printed leaves, added them to our bare branches and made birds and beasties out of real leaves to take home.
We have some wonderful plastic creepy crawlies to dig and find under a litter of real leaves in our play area , thanks to Walthamstow Toy Library. Then dined on lettuce, vine leaves and a variety of salad and fruit. At the end we sang suitably leafy and green songs and rhymes about a caterpillar, a gadren and ran rings around our tree singing "here we go round the spring tree".
