The Kids film Lounge is Back! It’s been a long time that we have been crafting with our cinephile friends. Were very excited to let you know that The Stow Film Lounge are coming back with a bang! producing a weekend film festival in Walthamstow Town Hall! Starting on the evening of 17th November to Saturday evening 18th November .

Saturday morning is The Kids matinee! The KFL will be screening Marcel the Shell with Shoes On by (Dean Fleischer-Camp, 2022, Cert PG). Come and make your own friendly shell character and join others for a family picture!

A FREE workshop for every child with a ticket.

Doors: Open 10am for Crafts, Film 11am, Close 1pm.

Tickets are from £4.00.

Refershments are available: Soft drinks and freshly made popcorn.

About The film:

After his family mysteriously disappear, a tiny anthropomorphic shell named Marcel lives with his grandmother in a suburban house used as an Airbnb. As Marcel gets to know a documentary filmmaker staying in the house they post on YouTube and a fandom is spawned, and eventually Marcel's story reaches the ears of those who might actually be able to help him figure out what happened to his family.

Scribble and Smudge thinks this film is an animation triumph and tells a story of loss, love and finding your family. Marcel is adorable and you will feel emotionally invested in this little shell’s adventures. We’d love to see your character! Come along and craft with Akiko and I.
