Come and celebrate the humble insect! Create, draw and collage moths, beetles or your own insect hero to be displayed at The Vestry House Museum and also an Information board at the Rain garden on the Essex rd. Make species of insects, with a purpose and job important to our ecology, to be displayed on the boards at the Vestry House Museum. Displayed til the end of the art trail and will be returned to you at the end of the festival.
All ages are welcome. 0 to 99 years old.
Please bring your own glue and scissors and picnic blanket to sit on if possible.
If you have your own favourite materials to draw with then please feel free to bring them. ( please we ask, nothing that is toxic or too messy for you to clear up after your finished)
We ask to please wear a mask during the workshop indoors. If weather permits we can sit outside mask free, but socially distanced.
Artists Lesley and Vanessa have made packs for you to pick up and take to your area in the beautiful museum garden. We have a guest Entomology hobbyist and artist Tony who will be drawing with us and telling some ‘bug eyed ‘ facts for inspiration for our insect creations.
We will be set up outdoors and will admit numbers of persons adhering to covid safety protocol. No entry without a mask. If the weather is adverse we will set up indoors. Numbers are limited again for entry inside the garden room.

a) 11 am and 12.45 p.m

b) 1.15 til 3pm.
Can you please indicate your preference of time on booking in the name section? with a simple (a) or (b) after your first name or surname?
First come first served. Feel free to visit the museum or nearby events if there’s a wait for your turn. Your creepy-crawly visit should take 15 to 30 mins depending on your skill/ideas and patience. We look forward to seeing your bug eyed creations soon!
