Creative Kids, build a bird house

  • The William Morris Gallery Lloyd Park, Forest Road , Walthamstow, London, E17 4PP uk (map)

The Young Poland exhibition opens in October and like much of the Arts & Crafts movement across Europe and America, Polish artists reflected natural forms of beauty in their designs. This month we're going to be inspired by the Polish craftspeople in our exhibition and craft birdhouses that will take care of our birds this autumn.

Use wood, leaves and paint to make your own birdhouse and decorate it with autumn leaves, creating a cosy retreat for birds as the weather turns colder.

In this session, we will be able to play with some toys, meet and make new friends, go and explore a part of The Young Poland exhibit and create a beautiful craft and be inspired by the Polish Zakapone style of craft. There’s much more to delight in this month’s session. We hope to see you there.

There are two 1.5 hour sessions one at 10am and repeated at 1pm. Its free but booking is essential.

The session is a little messy, we offer aprons, but please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting messy.
