'Imagining better childcare', badge workshop

Join in a free workshop at an exhibition about Imagining better childcare retells local history about the first Coop nursery.

Discover the inspiring story of the First Neighbourhood Co-operative Nursery: a parent-led childcare project that was based in Walthamstow in the 1970s - 1990s. Join us to:
- hear about the childcare situation today and discuss parent-led solutions with Lucie Stephens from the New Economics Foundation who is involved with starting a new parent-led nursery in 2020,

-art activities, for kids to create badges based a few of the rhymes, and songs sung at the coop nursery.

 join a free Soundhoppers session - a sound exploration workshop for children from 2:45 - 3:45 - with sound artists from Modus Arts

- meet parents and staff members from the First Neighbourhood Co-operative nursery, learn about their experiences and share yours

- view and celebrate the Doing it Ourselves exhibition which will close on September 20th.
