Have a flutter making wings to be part of a beastly adventure at this day long street party at Smithfield Market on Bank holiday Sunday.

We will be creating birdy wings that you can wear and take part in the proceedings of the day. Free activity for all, just come and join us and have fun creating your flight of fancy. We will be joined by Artillery’s sculptural birdy creations for a squawking great procession.

Welcome to the Soaring Smithfield Canopy where an exciting line up of aerialists swing from the rafters creating a dazzling spectacle in the Victorian iron structures of the central markets. Expect performances from brilliant companies such as Extraordinary Bodies and Upswing with more to be announced soon.

Audiences can create their own winged creations with Scribble and Smudge and watch giant bird puppets from Artillery; transform yourself into a magical creature with masks, face painting and headdresses and experience new perspectives through a series of interactive wild installations.‍
