Creative kids: Telling Stories like William Morris

  • The William Morris Gallery Lloyd Park, Forest Road London, England, E17 4PP United Kingdom (map)

Discover the stories behind some of William Morris’s best loved patterns at our Creative Kids sessions for September. A FREE art or craft workshop for 2 to 5 year olds.

William Morris loved to tell stories and the animals in his designs often came from ancient myths, classic children’s tales or the things that happened in his everyday life. At these sessions we’ll be making a mask inspired by Morris’s patterns, telling stories and singing songs.

This is a messy session, so please wear old clothes. Aprons are also available. All children must be accompanied.by their carer. We will have a tour of the galleries, get inspiration to create a wonderful mask, have a snack and sing songs in this 1 1/2 hour session. Choose either, a morning 10 til 11.30 a.m slot, or afternoon slot. 1 til 2.30 pm. Eventbrite bookings for the morning session. Or, drop in for the afternoon session, which will be first come first served, with a limited capacity. More details are described on Eventbrite, click the booking button below.

Donations are also welcome to support the public programme on booking.

Thankyou kindly in advance for giving other families a chance and letting us know if you can not attend in the morning session. e: sarah.vallois@walthamforest.gov.uk
