Seabeast craft at The Family film club, Barbican centre

  • Barbican cinema Beech Street London, England United Kingdom (map)

A free pre film family craft for ticket holders to the Seabeast screening, Saturday 25th February. https://www.barbican.org.uk/whats-on/2023/event/family-film-club-the-sea-beast-pre-film-workshop.

Make your own sea creature fit for the seas! They could be friendly, but look beastly. Make your own scenery in a small box given to you and film a seabeast animation at home! For budding artists and cinephiles alike this is a fun activity to boost your creative juices.

About the film:

When young Maisie stows away on a pirate ship, she is reluctantly taken under the wing of legendary sea beast hunter Jacob Holland. Soon enough, the two are off on a monsterific quest in uncharted waters. It’s Pirates of the Caribbean meets Moana, meets 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea – so get ready for a fun-filled, swash-buckling adventure! With a warm-hearted friendship at its core and absolutely superlative animation, this is an absolute must see on the big screen.

Come along at 10am and get creative in the Cinema Café for a FREE pre-film workshop, where you can make your own sea creature with Scribble and Smudge!

And don’t forget to come along and get creative before the film from 10am as we’ll be hosting a pre-film craft activity, run by professional artist and inspired by the morning’s film.

Adults can only come if they’re bringing a child, and children can only come along if accompanied by an adult. If you’re over 18, we’re afraid being a ‘big kid’ doesn’t count.

This screening has sold out!

We’d love to see you before the screening for some imaginary sea creature creating!

A sea creature on the run over a box! Everyon will have a box that they could set up as a mini scene or, studio in a box.
